Once you get the murrini applied to the bead you have to be very careful about how much heat you put into the glass. If your piece is getting too hot then the murrini will run and smear as the glass around it begins to flow.

For me, they would last about 4 hours. I could usually do about 6 beads or so. My main problem was that the little bottles would freeze up and I would find myself with a smaller and smaller flame.It is very hard to get a consistent outcome. I start with the gold and I fume until the pink is strong enough. Then I fume the silver. In my experience, when you see the silver fume it is almost too much. Very little gives me the best colors.
